About Us
We are a growing French Learning Academy based in Surrey, B.C dedicated to helping adult learners develop practical French language skills for professional and immigration purposes. Our primary focus is preparing students to successfully pass the TEF/TCF Canada exams. We provide structured, practical, and results-oriented instruction designed to help learners build real confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing French.
Our courses are delivered through in-person and hybrid learning environments using modern teaching methods and digital tools.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated French Instructor to teach small-group French language classes for adult learners. The ideal candidate will teach beginner students (many with little or no prior French knowledge), focusing on clear instruction, student engagement, and measurable progress.
Key Responsibilities
Develop curriculum materials, assessments, and activities that promote active learning.
Deliver engaging French language lessons for beginner and lower-intermediate adult learners.
Prepare students specifically for TEF/TCF Canada exam components (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking).
Develop structured lesson plans, practice tests, and exam strategies.
Track student progress and provide personalized feedback.
Conduct interactive speaking and listening exercises aligned with TEF/TCF standards.
Utilize online teaching tools such as Zoom, Google Classroom, or LMS platforms.
Provide guidance on exam techniques, time management, and scoring criteria.
Required Qualifications
Proven C1/C2 proficiency in French.
Minimum 1 year of experience teaching French as a Second Language (FSL/FLE) to adults.
Strong understanding of French grammar, pronunciation, and communication skills.
Ability to effectively teach students with little or no prior French knowledge.
Comfortable using online teaching platforms and digital learning tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in French, Linguistics, Education, or a related field is considered an asset.
Schedule: Part-time (Evenings and Weekends).
Pay(Hourly): $30.00 – $36.00
